I hope to blog some more about the actual delivery, because in my opinion, it's a story that definitely needs telling/bragging about. With the help of David, who was absolutely the best coach anyone could ask for, I was able to give birth naturally without an epidural or any narcotics. It was extremely painful, but completely worth it.
So, the stats on Olivia are as follows:
Weight: 7 pounds, 10 oz (although at release time from the hospital, she was down 6 oz)
Height: 20 1/2 inches long
Apgar scores: 8 and 9 (YAY!!!)
Doctor's report: She is very healthy and could have been released the first day
Parent report: PERFECTION
Grandparent report: Always in need of holding
Here are a few more pictures to (hopefully) tide you over for awhile. Thanks again for all of the phone calls, emails and well wishes. We hope to talk to each of you soon!
XOXOXO,
The Michelson Family

Welcome Olivia! What a cutie you are! We can't wait to meet you. Congratulations David and Amanda...I am looking forward to hearing details. Amanda, I think she looks like you! God love and Bless you all forever.
Congratulations Michelsons! She is adorable- and I agree that she looks like you Amanda. I love her name and can't wait to meet her :)
She is gorgeous; I love the name, I love the little bow lips, I love EVERYTHING about her already. We are SO proud of you and knew all along that you could do anything you put your mind to. Enjoy every moment with your little angel baby...and you're right- she did NEED that Lulu chair.
These pictures are beautiful! I definitely think she has your mouth! She is just so precious.
I can't put into words the joy I get when holding my granddaughter. Olivia is the most precious gift and I thank God for her everyday. I already share a special bond with her (we have lots of talks, some of those at 3:00 in the morning). I'm convinced she recognizes my voice from hearing it so much through her mommy's tummy before she was born. Even then I was telling her how much I loved her and I feel she senses that love now as I am holding her. When the time comes leaving her to go back to AZ is going to be the hardest part of being a grandma. I hope she always knows how much her "Nana" loves her.
