Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair

Most days I have Olivia's hair pulled back into either pigtails or {my personal favorite} double braids.  {I am not complaining, but} It is getting SO long and generally gets caked with food or tears/snot post typical toddler tantrums.  So, if I can get her to sit still long enough {READ: supply her with enough treats and entertainment} her hair is pulled back.  I decided to let it all hang down today though and it blew my mind at just how long it is getting.  I love it and I refuse to cut it EVER.  I've been going through old pictures of me {remember, I'm nesting} and how in the heck my parents MOM ever paid a stylist to give me a mullet is beyond me.  I hope I never do that to Olivia or her pretty, curly goldilocks.  Check out the length on this baby!

It's amazing how much it has grown in the last year!

Hope you all are having a fabulous THREE DAY WEEKEND!
Happy Sunday from the Central Coast!

Don't you just LOVE it! After I cut Ellie's hair for the first time (because I COULD NOT get a comb or brus thorugh it) we BOTH cried and vowed NEVER to do that again.
I can't believe how blonde her hair is! And it looks like it's not tangly at all like my girls. So pretty! And just think, soon you have another one to play hair dress up (or down) with. Wonder if she will be a blondie too?

Well, I guess I'm never forgiven for the "Mullet" do. Sorry Sis, but think about some of the ways I wore my hair. The times they do change.

I love Olivia's hair too and I can't believe how much it has grown. I remember when I "first laid eyes" on her, I was so shocked that she had DARK hair and that it was so long in the back. You on the other hand had very light hair (nice way for saying not much hair and blond). I remembering asking the nurse to put a little pink bow in it and she did. You might not have had much hair but you were/are adorable.

Her curls are so beautiful! I had the hardest time cutting Pumpkin's hair b/c it was so blond and curly at the ends too. But it was getting pretty bad having everyone ask me how old my little girl was.... Come on - he was wearing footballs, trains and airplanes from head to toe! I was so sad when we finally did it. You're lucky you have a girl and don't have people pressuring you to cut their hair b/c they look like the wrong gender. :)

And I paid for a haircut that turned out to be a mullet (NOT what I asked for) when I was 26.... Sad, sad day.

What beautiful hair for a beautiful child! LOVE it! Sad to think that you one day you will cut it (or she will)...but it will grow back. Still, the baby hair is so precious!
