First Visit From the Tooth Fairy!

Well, not that tooth fairy -- she's still got all of her teeth!  But, a lady dressed up as the tooth fairy came to her school today and she was pretty excited to meet her.  So excited, in fact, that she told her {in front of a few other classes} about how Sydney likes to put Magnum's dog food in the water bowl and play with it.  But she assured everyone that she doesn't eat it.

Poppy's Birthday Girl

Today marks Olivia's 46 month birthday.  In two months, the sweet baby who made me a mother is going to be FOUR years old.

At this stage in her life, Olivia's imagination is out of this world.  It always has been -- she's always been great at playing creatively with her toys, but I feel like recently she's taken it to a whole new level!

One of Olivia's favorite things is a Sofia the First app on the iPad that allows her to pick different characters and accessories for a puppet show that she is able to narrate and record.  At first, her stories were more along the lines of, "There once was a girl and a mom and she had a chair and a fan..." but they have gotten a lot better and she's actually telling stories with the characters.  I love them...and I love being able to go back and listen to them all.

This afternoon, we celebrated her birthday by following Poppy while he played in a shootout.  She had so much fun gathering "flowers" and pinecones and making a pinecone salad.  And she was so proud of her Poppy who came in second place!

She sure is her Poppy's girl.

A Lovely Little Post

I would prefer to snuggle up my with my hubby and watch some television than blog about our Valentine's day{s} so I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

Livi has made Valentine's day cards for days and

Sydney wants to join in so badly.

We had a craft day with her friends and we made pink, red and white cupcakes.

These girls have so much fun together.

David took us out to dinner tonight at San Tan Flats...it's always a fun place to hang out while we wait for a table.

The girls got a caricature done of them while we waited.  I couldn't figure out why he had Sydney giving Olivia the stink eye until I saw this picture...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Bowl, Baby, Bowl

It's always nice when we can get out of the house on a Friday or Saturday night and do something fun as a family.  I know David loves to hit up a Chuck E. Cheese or Amazing Jake's {because he likes to play video games?}, but our girls were sick for almost two weeks after going to Amazing Jake's.  Coincidence?  Probably.  But, I didn't feel like taking a chance.  So, I suggested an evening of bowling.   {Because sticking your hand in a ball that a zillion other people have stuck their hands in is better?!}  We traded Sydney for Poppy and so Olivia had lots of personal instruction!

I also took my big camera with me and got a couple fun pictures of her putting her face above the vent on the ball return.

Who knew bowling could be so fun?!  

Next up?  Rollerskating!

Another Day, Another Playground

The weather the last few days has been absolutely gorgeous and we are taking advantage of it!  We've been out on our bikes and checking out different play structures and burning off as much energy as we can.  And, the girls are loving it!
